Welcome to the CCD Diary pages! This is where I will place notices of forthcoming events and promotions as well as fashion shows and other things of interest. I hope that my readers and CCD customers regularly visit this page to find out what is going on in the world of Caithlin Carter Designs.
Aside from informing you of formal events such as shows, sales and sales, you will find details in the diary of group gifts and hunts as well as more informal news such as graduations of the models and other special events in SL which involve CCD in some way.

CCD Fashion Show at Classic with Style
CCD Fashion Show (7 May 2010) – A stunning show featuring CCD newly released gowns and jewelry. Taking place in the famous Classic with Style dome, this will be a not-to-be-missed event showing the very best of Second Life design and fashion from Caithlin Carter Designs. Glitz & Glamour Fashion Show
Glitz & Glamour featuring Azul and Caithlin Carter Designs
Glitz & Glamour Fashion Show (23 Jan at 12 PM SLT) – CCD jewelry will be featured in the Glitz and Glamour fashion show on Saturday the 23rd of January. Combining the elegant designs of Azul (Mami Jewell) and CCD (Caithlin Carter), this promises to be a truly spectacular event from 2 of SL’s most respected designers.
Mami Jewell’s formalwear aned bridalwear is unique and distinctive and comes in a wonderful array of colours to suit every taste and the fashion event will match these great designs with CCD jewelry to stunning effect.
With models Nisa Constantine, Florentine Rau, Millie Gears, Alexia Speizer and TraLove Pinazza; the fashion will be hosted at the Costa Rica Sims Showcase Venue. Tell your friends and we hope to see you there.

Death Becomes Her Hunt (1 Jan to 31 Jan) – A slightly macabre themed hunt with a huge number of surprises from participating designers. More information can be found at the CCD mainstore. CCD is participating in a number of grid-wide hunts over the Christmas and New Year period. I have produced special items for these hunts which will be ‘hidden’ around my mainstore.

‘Noir Couture – The History of Baiastice’ Fashion Event Featuring Caithlin Carter Designs’ Jewelry
Sissy Pessoa of the fabulous Baiastice is showing her Winter Collection at 2 events in the run up to Christmas. On the 22nd and 23rd of December, Caithlin Carter Designs will support these events by providing all the jewelry for the shows. This will be an amazing fashion spectacular featuring 2 of the most highly respected designers in Second Life – Sissy Pessoa and Caithlin Carter.
Presented by the Opium Fashion Agency, Noir Couture – the history of Baiastice, is located at this SLURL.

Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend – Fashion Show
CCD is showing jewelry at the ‘Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend’ fashion show on the 28th of November between 6 PM and 7 PM SLT. A number of other designers are also participating including JCNY, Bandit, Paper Couture and Aluinn so this will be a great opportunity to see some fabulous jewelry and watch a wonderful show. This fashion show is a joint production between Siren Productions and the TnT Modeling Agency.

CCD Mainstore Grand Reopening & Fashion Show
On the 8th of November at 12 PM SLT, I am holding the grand reopening of the CCD Mainstore. This event will feature a fashion show where my new Reflective Jewelry collection will be modelled alongside selected items from my Prim Nails + Ring sets. This promises to be an exciting and glamorous occasion where you will have an opportunity to see the ultra-realistic diamonds of the Reflective Jewelry collections and be dazzled by the shine and sparkle of these these amazing jewels.

*Something Blue* – Love & Marriage Expo
I am exhibiting at this year’s *Something Blue* – Love & Marriage Expo and will be releasing some new designs especially for this event.
This two-week event will feature amazing entertainment from some of Second Life’s best DJs and Live Musicians as well as 4 amazing fashion shows featuring some of the most beautiful and prestigious models in all of Second Life. As well as CCD products and new releases, the Expo will include a huge number of vendors and designers from photographers to honeymooon services.
The items of CCD will be shown on the 9th of august at 12 pm.
This is going to be a spectacular event and I really hope to see you there…

The fashion show will be at EIMA at 11 am slt. I provided an 4th element in this fashion show. The other 3 elements that will be shown are: lingerie, skins and shoes. CCD FlickR Photo Competition
The first CCD FlickR Photo Competition closes on the 22nd of June so please hurry and get your entries uploaded onto FlickR as soon as possible.
Do you have what it takes to be a top CCD photographic model and competition winner? The judging panel will be looking for elegance, beauty and a real flair for fashion as well as that extra ‘something’ which makes a great photograph. Use your imagination and skill to take a prize-winning shot and you could win one of the 3 great prizes as well as seeing your photograph on the CCD fashion blog, on the CCD flickr page, in the mainstore and possibly in future CCD campaigns.
- First Prize = cash prize of $5000L and a CCD Giftcard worth $2500L. Winning photograph displayed in-store, on the CCD blog and on the CCD flickr page.
- Second Prize = CCD Giftcard worth $1500L.

I have been nominated for an award in the category ‘Best Jewelry Designer’. The award ceremony is at 6:00 PM SLT on Friday the 5th of June.
I’m really excited about this nomination as this is is a prestigious award and its a tough competition with a lot of really good designers participating.

1st of May (1300 PM SLT)
Fashion Show – International Models Agency (Maseno Project).
This show will feature Caithlin’s jewellery designs from CCD as well as the work of a number of other designers (MariaElena Barbosa, Digit Darkes, Blacklace, Alphamale, Nonna Hedges, Sherona DeGroot, Ramona Planer, Naiyah Dreamscape and Z’Vogue design (by Zepher Dibou).
I have created a unique one-off jewelry design for this event which will be modelled by Mimmi Boa (Miss Virtual World 2009); this will be auctioned at the end of the show to raise money for the Maseno Project.
Hosted by Westwind Ackland and with music from DJ Esteban Kumaki, our own CCD models Dianny3636 Aeon and Naiyah Dreamscape will be amongst those modelling at the event. The event will be coordinated by Marian Rexen too. It would be wonderful to see you there if you can support this great programme.

Congratulations to Latex Zemlja, our favourite blogger, who won a prize today in a SL-wide poetry competition. The ‘theme’ of his poem was, somewhat appropriately, jewellery but he had to get his thoughts across in only 12 words or less. Those of you who know LZ as well as I do will know that a 12-word limit would usually be a serious problem for him but he seems to have risen to this challenge. Congratulations to our very own Sheyla Mills who today graduated from the Mimmi Boa Modelling Academy. Sheyla’s graduation show included modelling the Ramona Collection by Ramona Planer and Azul by Mimi Jewell. Sheyla also wore Victoria and Irene jewellery from CCD to accessorise her beautiful outfits along with shoes from Enkythings. A video of Sheyla’s performance can be seen on YouTube here.
