Jewelry Manual (Pure 2)

Introduction

Dear CCD Customer,

Thank you for purchasing my new “Pure 2″ jewelry; the most versatile jewelry in SL.

The “Pure 2″ jewelry from CCD contains some new script technology. This “Pure 2″ collection allows you to change the appearance of the jewelry using simple menus (or spoken commands) so you are easily able to match your jewelry to the rest of your outfit at any time. You can manage your jewelry’s characteristics with just one click anywhere on the item.

If you wear more than one item of “Pure 2″ jewelry, when you change the settings of one item it will affect all the other “Pure 2″ items you are wearing. If you just want to change one item of jewelry you will have to detach the rest of your jewelry and edit your chosen item in isolation.

A Short Explanation of the “Pure 2″ Technology:

1. Resize (you can change the size of the prims)
2, Recolour (you can change the colour of the metal or stones) – channel: /332
3. Retexture (you can change the texture of the metal &  stones & pearls) – channel: /333
4. Bling (you can manage bling) – channel: /334
5. Alpha *optional* (manage different layers in the jewel) – channel: /335
6. Glow (you can manage glow) – channel: /336
7. Walksounds *optional* (you can manage the walksounds)

Menu Structure

Pure 2 Menu Structure

1. Resize

If you click on the jewelry, a menu will appear in the upper right corner of your SL window.

You are now in the resize menu and have 3 options:

1.1. This Prim
1.2. All Prims
1.3. Other options (I will explain this button later in the instruction manual)

1.1. This Prim (modify a single prim)

["Scale +1%", "Scale -1%", "Revert"]

This Prim->Scale +1%

This will increase this single prim in size by 1%

This Prim->Scale -1%

This will decrease this single prim in size by 1%

This Prim->Revert

If you made a little mistake on this single prim, this will revert the item back to its original settings

This Prim->Show prim

Blinks the prim you are about to alter a few times (nice to make sure its the correct one)

This Prim->Rotation

Gives you a menu to alter the child prims x,y and z rotation

This Prim->Move

Gives you a menu to alter the child prims x,y and z position

1.2. All Prims (modify the whole object)

All Prims->Pose->Start

This allows you to strike the same pose you would normally be in when editing appearance. Quite useful to keep still without the use of a pose stand.

All Prims->Pose->Stop

Tired of standing still after pressing start? This will snap you back out of the pose.

All Prims->Restore->Store

This will reverse all changes since the item changed owner.

All Prims->Restore->Last Rez

This will reverse all changes since the item was last rezzed or worn.

All Prims->Delete

This will remove all scripts from the item. Remember, if you select this option, you will not be able to modify the jewelry any more so be sure to make a copy first if you can.  Why would you want to use this? Lag. All scripts use up sim resources, if you remove the scripts, the sim will be less laggy.

All Prims->Scale +1%/Scale +5%/Scale +10%

These will increase the total size of the object by 1, 5 or 10%

All Prims->Scale -1%/Scale -5%/ Scale -10%

These will decrease the total size of the object by 1, 5 or 10 %

I cannot fit your jewelry for you but, using the “Pure 2″ menu, you can fit your jewelry to any shape or size yourself.

*** VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT DECREASE THE SIZE BELOW 0.010. IF YOU DO, THE OBJECT WILL BREAK AND YOUR JEWELRY WILL BE PERMANENTLY DAMAGED * CCD CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS. ***

When you are in danger of damaging your jewelry, you will receive a warning message.

1.3 Other Options

This option gives you access to the next set of menus (recolour, retexture, bling, alpha, glow and walksounds) – explained below:

1.3.1. Recolour

This option allows you to change the colour of the metal in your jewelry. When you click the recolour button you will see a new menu with all the possible colours for the metal. Just click the appropriate number. The default colour of the metal is white.

You can also select this option using voice commands. Say in chat    /332 < Number of the colour > e.g. /332 1      -> and the metal will turn “white”.

1.3.2. Retexture

This is similar to the recolour function (above) but applies a texture to your jewelry. When you touch the retexture button you will see a menu with the textures. This option allow you to change the texture of metal and stones.

The first list offers 9 textures for the metallic parts of your jewelry, the second and third lists include a number of textures for the stones as well. The second list offers you 9 diamond textures and the third list 9 gemstone textures.  To move between the textures just click on the “next list” button to continue to the next list.  In most of my designs it is easy to change the stone textures but in some of the more complex designs it simply isn’t possible. Of course, if the design doesn’t include metal, stones or pearls, you will not be able to change them (obviously).

You can also reach this option by voice commands. Say in chat    /333 < Number of the texture > For example: /333 5      -> and the metal will be retextured “Gold”.

To enable or disable bling, click the “Bling on” or “Bling off” button. Other commands to turn the bling on or off are by voice command. Just say the apprpriate command in chat:

/334 bling on
/334 bling off

When you have enabled bling, you can change the colour, density and flash frequency of the bling.
The first bling menu shows you the possible colours of the bling. Just click the appropriate number for your chosen colour. The default colour is “white”.

To change the bling colour in chat, say   /334 < Number of the colour >
For example: /334 10      -> and the bling will be recoloured “Light Orange”

For the other functions click the “Options” button.

1.3.4.. Alpha *Optional*

With this function you are able to manage different layers in your jewelry. With different layers you can make one item of jewelry look like a completely different design. This option has the same menu structure as the previous options. Click the layer you want to see and it will be rezzed immediately.

For example: If you have one necklace with multiple layers such as my ‘signs of the zodiac’ design you have each zodiac sign available as a seperate layer so, rather than buying 12 seperate necklaces, you only need one! With this “Alpha” option you can easily select your own birth sign from the 12 birth signs available.

You can also reach this option by voice commands. Say in chat    /335 < Number of the layer>
For example: /335 4      -> You’ve chosen for the “Alpha layer number 4″ to be shown.

1.3.5. Glow

This function gives you the ability to change the amount of glow (or luminousity) in the jewelry. You can change the amount of glow using the menu buttons.

(+++)   – Increase glow by 0.20
(++)      – Increase glow by 0.05
(+)        – Increase glow by 0.01

(—)     – Decrease glow by 0.20

(–)       – Decrease glow by 0.05

(-)         – Decrease glow by 0.01

You can also reach this option using voice commands. Say in chat    /336 < Amount of plus or minus>
For example: /336 +++      -> You increased the glow by 0.20.

1.3.6. Walksounds *Optional*

With this option you can manage your walksounds. There are 3 options:

- You can turn the sound on/off
- You can set the specific sound you like to hear when you walk
- You can set the volume

I hope you enjoy your new product.
