Overall Winner - Katherine Comet wearing 'Patty'
The overall winner of the CCD Reflecting Jewelry photo competition is Katherine Comet. With a competition running over 3 months, there was an enormous selection of stunning photographs to enjoy and CCD received over 65 entries in total. Of these entries, December’s photograph of Katherine Comet wearing Patty truly impressed, combining not only great technique and an excellent portrayal of CCD jewelry but also a real artistic flare and a great sense of elegance and beauty.
CCD Reflective Jewelry Competition - All Winners
The winners from each of the past months are shown in the montage above and all your contributions can be seen on the CCD Flickr page. A huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who took the time to contribute photographs and sincere congratulations to Katherine for her truly inspiring winning entry.

Second Place - Melanie Sautereau wearing 'Ode to Holland'
Third Place - Katherine Comet wearing 'Emily' and 'Elegance'
Congratulations to all the participants in this month’s competition. Once again the standard of entries was exceptionally high and it was difficult to decide the winners. However, with some beautiful photographs, congratulations are due to Marijana, Melanie and Katherine for their outstanding pictures and my thanks to all of you who contributed for participating.
All the entries can be seen on the CCD Flickr page and I hope to see more wonderful contributions to the next CCD competition which will be announced shortly.

CCD Fashion Show (Caithlin Carter wearing 'Vanity' & Models)
Despite some nerve-wracking last-minute problems with my Sim, the recent CCD Grand Reopening and Fashion Show opened on time and was a real success. I wanted to thank all of you who found the time to come along and watch the CCD models wearing some of my latest Reflective Jewelry and Prim Nails + Ring. I’m sure you will agree that the CCD models who performed at the Fashion Show did an amazing job and I’m really proud to have such a great team working with me at Caithlin Carter Designs. I made my own debut on the catwalk at this event wearing the exclusive limited edition ‘Vanity’ Jewelry set and I really enjoyed this totally new experience and the thrill of hosting what was a really exciting event for me.
I would like to thank the CCD models who took part in the show – Adriana Ellisson, Amberlea Nitely, Arianah Markova, Isabella Wikifoo, Janet Nitely & Mailen Karu – and, of course, Kat Svenska and Naiya Kazyanenko for organising things so beautifully.

On the 8th of November at 12 PM SLT, I am holding the grand reopening of the CCD Mainstore. This event will feature a fashion show where my new Reflective Jewelry collection will be modelled alongside selected items from my Prim Nails + Ring sets. This promises to be an exciting and glamorous occasion where you will have an opportunity to see the ultra-realistic diamonds of the Reflective Jewelry collections and be dazzled by the shine and sparkle of these these amazing jewels.
Featuring a number of beautiful CCD models, I am also planning to make my own debut on the catwalk and, at the end of the show, I will hand out an exquisite gift to thank my customers and friends for their continued support. It would be wonderful to see you and your friends at this show and I hope that you will enjoy the sparkle and glamour of my new Reflective Jewelry. An SLURL to this event can be found here.

I can’t wait to see your fantastic pictures!
The main things I wanted to share with you in this update were the Maseno Project II Garments of Hope fashion show and charity auction which took place on the 1st of May and the forthcoming CCD Fashion Show on the 10th of May.
The Maseno Project helps to support children in the western Kenya orphanage Nest Rescue Center and, as this is such a wonderful charity and such a good cause, I wanted to sponsor an event and donate a unique piece of jewelry to be auctioned in aid of the children. The event on the 1st of May was a huge success and featured a CCD model – Naiyah Dreamscape – as well as the event management skills of Marian Rexen. Nani Wrigglesworth, SterlingZen Harbour, Latex Zemlja and me were all in the audience to support as well and it was a lot of fun to see so many beautiful designs and our friends modelling them too. The show featured some of my jewelry designs from CCD as well as the work of a number of other designers (MariaElena Barbosa, Digit Darkes, Blacklace, Alphamale, Nonna Hedges, Sherona DeGroot, Ramona Planer, Naiyah Dreamscape and Z’Vogue design (by Zepher Dibou) but I think the highlight for me was the charity auction which closed the event and raised some serious money for the Maseno Project charity.
Miss Virtual World 2009 - Mimmi Boa - wearing a unique CCD design
More pictures from this event can be found here.
I designed a unique one-off piece of jewelry which you can see being modelled by Mimmi Boa in the picture above. A generous supporter paid $25000L for Mimmi’s outfit at the end of the auction and I was really proud to be part of this great event and help to raise such a huge sum of money!
Work is also underway on a CCD fashion show planned for the 10th of May at the Fashion in-Look Institute. CCD Models; Nani Wrigglesworth, Sheyla Mills, Shaz Bashly and PinkAngelStar69 String will model my jewelry and dress designs and the event is being organised by our Model Manager Naiyah Dreamscape who has done a great job organising the models and writing the script. The event starts at 11:00 AM on Sunday the 10th of May at the Fashion in-Look Institute and I hope you can all be there.
